What this platform does
The Business Yard helps local trades, service providers and small businesses become visible, connect with trusted local businesses, and discuss referrals, collaboration or optional service exchange privately. It is not a broker, employer, insurer, payment processor or legal adviser.

Platform purpose
The Business Yard is an introductions and networking platform for trusted local businesses. We provide a place for members to present their business, explain what they offer, describe what they may be looking for, and make direct contact with other businesses for referrals, collaboration and optional service exchange.
Responsibility
Member obligations
Members are responsible for their own decisions and for checking suitability before entering into any referral, collaboration, subcontracting or service exchange arrangement. Each business should carry out its own due diligence and is responsible for its own agreements, pricing, insurance, tax, VAT, legal compliance and wider business obligations.

Service exchange disclaimer
Service exchange is entirely optional and is arranged privately between the businesses involved. The Business Yard does not value services, set pricing, process payments, manage tax, provide tax advice, guarantee work or act as a party to any agreement. Members remain responsible for their own tax, VAT, insurance, legal compliance and business obligations.
